Our Story
XGRiD Campers was founded by Loren Walker: an avid camper, RV’er, and outdoor enthusiast. Some years ago, Loren found himself exploring a backcountry trail with a traditional trailer that was shredded by the road into his site. It was at that moment that he realized there must be a better way to get off the grid. He limped back home with his stick-built trailer and began to investigate, and eventually meet, makers of the world’s toughest off-road campers.
When COVID-19 hit in 2020 and affected our lives in every possible way, Loren decided to leave his 23+ year corporate career and pursue his passion. XGRiD Campers was born.
Since its founding, XGRiD has helped people to live their dreams of an off-road, overlanding, and off-grid outdoor lifestyle. Some customers have fully adapted to the remote work trend, using their camper to explore the great outdoors, others reconnect with nature over weekend trips with their families—all are dedicated to living the off-grid lifestyle!
With its singular focus, XGRiD quickly became the premier off-road camper dealership in the West. In March of 2023, the company expanded its footprint opening a new location in Knoxville, TN. Jeremy & Chris Long, early customers of XGRiD, decided to fully embrace their passion for the outdoors and join as partners to carry the XGRiD brand to The Tennessee Valley, making it even easier to reach customers nationwide.
